Our Programs & Services

Respicare Packs
The Lung Warrior delivers Respicare Packs to the Respiratory Ward on a monthly basis as a thoughtful gift to support patients and their families. These packs, distributed by the ward nurses and staff, are designed to help alleviate boredom and provide comfort during their stay.
The gifts, which patients and families are welcome to keep, include items for all ages such as coloring books and crayons, craft kits, baby books, stuffed animals, games, toiletry care packs and more.

Boredom Buster Library
We are proud to announce that in 2025 we launched our new program on the Respiratory ward, designed to provide entertainment and alleviate boredom for children admitted. The Boredom Buster Library.
This initiative offers a range of items for patients and their families to borrow during their stay. While these items remain on the ward, they will be available to help engage children and distract them from the challenges of hospitalization, offering brief moments of relief from their illness or anxieties.

The program will feature various items, including, but not limited to, Nintendo games, tablets, VR headsets, ride-on cars, baby play mats, and toys. These resources will be available for use by admitted patients and their families, with the goal of enhancing their experience during their time in the hospital.

Making Memorable Moments
Making Memorable Moments Program provides families with family passes and tickets for them to enjoy post discharge of their hospitalisation. This can include tickets for places such as movies, theme parks etc to be able to help families enjoy one another after a time of worry and uncertainty.

PCH Morning Tea
The Lung Warrior visits the Children’s Hospital on a monthly basis to deliver care packages and gifts for the ward. During these visits, we host a morning tea in the parent lounge area of the Respiratory Ward.

Our team provides a selection of nutritious and delicious snacks, offering families an opportunity to relax and connect with the supportive community of The Lung Warrior and fellow families. This initiative aims to foster a sense of community and support during their time at the hospital.
